Does the MyLifterTM cable wind easily?

Each MyLifter features our patented cable guide system. This mechanism effortlessly pushes and pulls the cable in and out of the lifter, even if there is no tension on the line.

Is the MyLifterTM frame adjustable?

While not in use, the frame is able to sit parallel to the ceiling to maximize overhead space. Because it is adjustable, this kit can be configured to fit other tops as long as it is less than 165 total lbs.

Will the lifter device scratch my hard top?

With felt adhered to the adjustable frame and six foam blocks, the frame keeps your hard top safe from any scratches while lifting and lowering. With 4 connection points to the frame, your hard top won’t spin or twist while suspended.

Q: Are there safety features in place to prevent overload?

No, it is not required to load the exactly evenly as the differential motor technology
keeps the system operating close to level though it is recommended to load the
heaviest items throughout the middle of the kit.

Will the kit stop automatically near the ceiling or the floor?

Yes, our expert installation team will program both a top and bottom stop for the kit, fit
precisely to your space, making for a worry free operation. Typically, the bottom stop will
be set about 1” from the ground, the top stop will be determined based on preference,
items to be stored, and available space.

Are there safety features in place to prevent overloading?

Yes, if the kit is grossly overloaded, the ceiling mounted controller will flash an led
sequence, letting you know that the kit will need to be rearranged. This is a rare
occurrence and in most cases, the space available will not come close to fitting over
600 lbs of stored items. Auxx lift also factors in a 4x weight capacity for the failure point,
ensuring that even in the case of an overload, there is no risk for failure of the
components.

Can I installed a fixed overhead and powered overhead in the same garage?

Yes, in fact this is a very common strategy to optimize cost and usability. With a
powered lift and a stationary overhead rack in the same space, very seldom used items
can be stored on the stationary kit and more used items can be stored on the powered
lift. In some cases, based on proximity, the powered lift can also be used as an item
elevator to help load and offload heavy items onto the stationary kit.

Are there restrictions to the type of item that can be stored?

No, there are no restrictions as to what can be stored on a motorized overhead rack. If
you can get the item on and off the kit and the weight is less than 600 pounds, go
ahead! We have seen lawn mowers, e-bikes, a small ATV & more stored.
